Arti-lens

About this treatment

The Arti-lens (Artisan, Artiflex) provides an effective solution for those with high prescription glasses that cannot be corrected with a laser treatment. An additional artificial lens is inserted through a small incision of up to 6 millimeters and carefully fixed to the iris for stable placement. If one pays attention, the lens may be visible in the eye. Our team is ready to answer your questions and discuss your individual situation, so we can provide you with the most suitable solution. Contact us for more information or to schedule a consultation.

Good to know

The costs are € 2.300 per eye if no cylinder needs to be corrected, and € 2.750 if it does. The treatment is performed by one of our specialised surgeons, Drs Robin Ollivier or Prof Rudy Nuijts. The treatment itself takes about 30 minutes per eye. This treatment also includes 2 years of medication, follow-up checks and any re-treatments.

We treat one eye at a time.

The wounds are sutured; these sutures are removed in an outpatient procedure during the one-month follow-up.

The eye is numbed and covered after the treatment; bring someone with you to take you home.

The medication is included in the price and will be provided to you.

Annual check-ups are required after the treatment.
