An RLE is generally performed if you have presbyopia combined with either nearsightedness or farsightedness. In this procedure, your natural lens will be replaced with an artificial lens. There are different types of artificial lenses available. Based on your eyes measurements and lifestyle, we will advise you on the lens that best suits your needs. You can choose from monovision, lenses with extended depth of focus or multifocal lenses. Because the natural lens is replaced, the development of cataracts in the future is prevented. Our team is ready to answer your questions and help you choose the most suitable treatment.
The eye treatment aims to treat nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism or presbyopia. The costs are € 2.600 per eye without cylinder in the artificial lens. With cylinder, the costs are € 2.900 per eye. The treatment is carried out by one of our specialised surgeons, Drs Robin Ollivier or Prof Dr Rudy Nuijts. The treatment itself takes about 15 minutes per eye. This treatment also includes 2 years of medication, follow-up checks and any re-treatments.
We can treat both eyes on the same day.
You may leave the hospital immediately after the treatment.
Bring someone with you to take you home after the treatment.
The medication is included in the price and will be provided to you.
