Your personal advice

Please note: the above advice is only an indication. The best treatment for you can only be determined after personal examination.

Coverage by your health insurer

Correction of a refractive error is usually considered a cosmetic treatment and is therefore in most cases not covered by health insurance companies. This means that the cost of the treatment has to be paid by the patient himself. In some cases, however, it is possible to get compensation from the health insurer. To proceed, certain requirements must be met. The form below can be completed by your optician to assist with the application.

It is also important to note that some insurance providers offer additional compensation for ophthalmic procedures. However, these often do not apply to our treatments, as no medical diagnosis code can be generated. We recommend discussing this with your insurance provider before the treatment takes place to avoid any unpleasant surprises afterwards.
